Nigel and Sharon
Sharon really built the craft centre into her day for her wedding to Nigel - she had a glass rose made by Top Glass incorporated into her bouguet - it did mean that it was carefully handed on rather than thrown at the end of the evening!
Caroline and Geoff
Caroline and Geoff are local to the Jinney Ring and it was like having family here with so many familiar faces. Their pretty bridesmaids waited with them in the lounge prior to making their vows in the Barn.
Graham and Gillian
Gillian and Graham were our very first civil ceremony in the barn building. Gillian chose "the Pink Panther" theme tune to come into the ceremony - this made every one including her Groom smile as it fit her personality so well! She was completely exhausted at the end of the night though and crashed out in our lounge area!
Jennie and Vicky
We were delighted that Jennie and Vicky chose the Jinney Ring for their wedding. This was our first same sex wedding reception.
Lauren and Daniel
Bearly a moment to themselves!
Lauren and Daniel had some great photos taken with our annual sculpture trail. The exhibits are different each year so it makes for something quite unique! (The sculpture trail is normally on from Mid August to end September).
Lynn and Dave
Lynn and Dave had some 'wicker people' at their wedding, again as part of the sculpture trail.
The couple wanted a really informal wedding with a very simple buffet meal for their guests, this was lovely in the barn restaurant.
Kate and Karl
Birmingham City supporter Kate showed her 'true colours' when she decided on the styling for their marquee wedding! Kate sourced bits and pieces for the big day and stored them in a spare bedroom for months - - Karl thought he was getting the bedroom back after the wedding but it was not to be....Kate has got the 'wedding bug' and is now helping others decorate their venues
. She certainly did a great job of this one and all the family had terrific fun in the process.
Jenna and Ross
Jenna and Ross fell in love with the idea of a relaxed countryside wedding - it took them a while to work out what and how and it all 'evolved' into a very personal country style garden marquee. Jenna made all the bunting (hung onto garden twine) and picked fresh lavender and flowers. Ross was charged with finding suitable table setting roundels. All the family helped to decorate. Following the meal the wedding party moved to the barn restaurant for an evening party.
Joanne and Phillip
Joanne and Phillip wanted a very small intimate group of guests to share their special day. They had a relaxed meal in a garden marquee and were blessed with super weather. Both of them decided on a memorable wedding cake. This one was made to their specifications by our chef Shirley. The red BMW with Carlesberg cans trailing was full of meaning !
Rachel and Shane
Rachel and Shane came to one of our Wedding Fayres and loved the luxury marquee in the gardens here, so a year or so later they were sitting in a very similar one as man and wife. They decorated the marquee in their own style and Rachel's Mum arranged all the flowers herself. They had a flautist quartet play on arrival which sounded gorgeous throughout the gardens and later a characturist made memories of the day for them.
The pair both love our ducks and did not forget them either - they gave duck food as favours, and this went down very well indeed!
Louise and Richard
Louise and Richard decided that not only did they want to enjoy their wedding at the Jinney Ring, but they also wanted to marry in Hanbury Church on the hill above us. We could tell when the service had finished as the bells were ringing out in celebration.
This couple have an amazing sense of fun - this included incorporating a 'bucking sheep' into their afternoon tea party. They then moved inside to the courtyard marquee for the evening meal and more antics. Eventually they did all come outside again, when it was dark, to sail candle boats on the ponds.
Probably should mention that Louise is an Aston Villa supporter as you can see...
Katie and Glen
Yeehah! Katie and Glen are very active people and they were determined to keep their guests moving - they included line dancing in their evening. There was no chance of anyone sleeping in the corner at their wedding party!
Carla and Calvin
Calvin and Carla put lots of planning into their special day. They went for a 40's look for themselves and their wedding party, including the hair styles - doesn't it look great?
Both Bride and Groom have a love of birds, especially birds of prey, so not only did they include a falconry display, but their wedding cake was especially themed (see picture) and all the tables were named after birds too. (Sadly, they did not get to eat the cake as the family dog stole it when they got it home!)
They are also lucky enought to have a musical Dad. He brought his own band along to perform the dance music in the courtyard marquee - they were brilliant www.trickstermusic.com
Dorothy and Jeff
It turns out that the choice of the Jinney Ring for their wedding was quite an important one to Dorothy and Jeff. They met here on their first date, then, some time later, Jeff got down on one knee and proposed to Dorothy in the gardens here. It seemed very appropriate to complete the happy ending to this romantic tale here, celebrating their marriage with their small wedding with close family.
Tammie and Ian
Tammie and Ian decided on a vintage theme for their marquee wedding. As they were flexible on their dates, they were able to take advantage of a second use on the marquee so they made some savings on the costs!
Amy and Simon
Amy and Simon wanted a proper "country wedding" and decided on a barn dance in a big marquee. The Bride's Mum and Dad (who are Scots) surprised them by arranging for them to be "piped" into the garden when they arrived. The weather was beautiful and the whole day was a terrific "hoot"!
Laura and Mike
Laura and Mike wanted to keep things simple with a really relaxed and stress free day. They opted for a pig roast in the gardens, no table plan, and yards and yards of bunting (all made by the Bride's Mum!). They married in Hanbury Church so we knew when to expect them .... when the bells stopped ringing!
Donna and Khalil
Donna and Khalil had an intimate group of friends come together on a Monday to celebrate their marriage.
They had their wedding breakfast in our conservatory during the daytime and then a bigger party in the whole restaurant afterwards. The weather was a little inclement but it did not stop them getting some beautiful photos and having a great day!
Patricia and Steve
Bride Trish's sister Fran brought this lovely couple to us. Fran is a regular visitor here and knows our food and style well, and worked with us to find just the right wedding breakfast for Trish and Steve. They opted for the daytime conservatory option and we did our best to match their theme colours. They also wanted a simple menu and chose from our daytime farmhouse menu.
(We have both rectangular and round tables available in the restaruant)
Lindsey and Nick
This was a second wedding party for the Englishman Nick and American Lindsey who had tied the knot in the USA the week before. They wanted to share their wedding with their UK friends and so did it again at the Jinney Ring. The English weather was really not kind to them, but this did not deter them from dodging the raindrops for photos and partying hard. (The courtyard marquee held up to the deluges very well!.) For this second party they opted for a hot buffet for their guests.
Maureen and John
Maureen and John had a big surprise engagement party at the Jinney Ring in early 2011, so we were absolutely thrilled that they decided not to "elope" and instead came back to us with a small group of close friends to celebrate their wedding with us in October the same year.
Lynsey and Paul
Lynsey and Paul decided to run their own music for their party and so they arranged for green uplighters in the courtyard marquee and then ran their IPOD through speakers -- we were a bit worried that without a DJ no-one would dance, but we need not have, they were real "party people" and danced the night away!
Tammy and Lee
Tammy and Lee wanted something unusual in their day, so they did some glass blowing before their wedding breakfast.
Joanne and Matthew
Joanne and Matthew wanted something to interest their guests while the photographs were being taken on arrival here - Jessica the Eagle Owl happily obliged. (Falconry can be arranged)
Matt and Rebekah
Matt and Rebekah love our ducks and ponds and they were determined to include them in their day -- the ducks certainly appreciated it!
Sarah and Liam
Sarah and Liam brought their beloved dogs along to share their special day - we are nothing if not flexible here!
Rebbeca and Ron
Rebbeca has been a regular visitor to the Jinney Ring for a long time so we were delighted when she and Ron chose us for for their wedding party. We knew the whole process would be great fun too as they both have a wicked sense of humour! Ron is well used to speaking in public as he is a retired Baptist Minister -- he looked really comfortable with the microphone for the speeches, it was hard to take it back off him!!
Mandy and Steve
Mandy and Steve knew just what they wanted for their wedding cake - so they told us and Chef Shirley created it!
We can make your wedding cake for you too - the Jinney Ring team are well known for their cakes ... of all sorts. We have had cheese wedding cakes here too!
We have had some lovely cars here bringing the Bride and Groom for their Wedding Breakfast
Charlie and Mark
Charlotte and Mark came all the way from Rubrey in this Camper Van!
Emily and Sam
Emily and Sam arrived in a helicopter and landed in the garden!
Jess, Hannah and their Richards - They started it!
These two brides are responsible for the Jinney Ring holding Wedding Parties - both of their families are close neighbours and the girls played in our gardens as children, so it was quite natural that they wanted to get married here.
They both had full marquees in the gardens - decorated and set up quite differently!
Jessica married Richard in the first picture and Hannah also married Richard (a different one of course!) Happily we see them all quite regularly.
